Financial Accountant

An exciting new position for a Financial Accountant has arisen at an established global business based in Wythenshawe, South Manchester. As the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for producing high level management reporting and communicating key financial information to internal/external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Preparation of month end and year end accounts including preparation of journals, allocations and balance sheet reconciliations

• Preparation of monthly Cost Centre P&L accounts

• Journal postings and reconciliations for group consolidations

• Preparing weekly cash flow forecast information

• Liaising closely with internal departments to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting

• Approving daily bank payments

• Preparation of quarterly VAT returns

• Ad-Hoc analysis and financial projects

Key Skills Required:

• ACCA/CIMA part-qualified

• Excellent Excel skills

• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

• Highly motivated and well organised, ability to manage workload and prioritise accordingly

• Able to demonstrate experience of cost control and improvements
