Senior Financial Accountant

Senior Financial Accountant Manchester City Centre - Hybrid Working Up to £65,000 DOE I am excited to be exclusively partnered with an award-winning professional services firm who have their central function based in beautiful Manchester City Centre offices. Due to continued growth and internal progression my client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their established finance function.

This role will report directly into the Financial Controller - a fantastic mentor and somebody who will help you grow and develop within this role. You will have the opportunity to really make this role your own and develop a great team.

This is a high-profile role involving interaction across the business at all levels with both financial and non-financial people, providing accounting expertise and financial knowledge to the wider finance team to collaborate and ensure the maintenance of accurate financial records and reporting.

Key Duties:

• Day-to-day management and supervision of the assistant accountant team.
• Supporting the Financial Controller in running the day-to-day operations and processes of the department.
• Dealing with mid-level and high-level queries that come into the department.
• Coordinating month end processes.
• Preparation of accurate and timely management accounts and financial reporting.
• Supervision of the preparation of financial reporting for smaller group entities.
• Driving process improvements and developing controls alongside the Financial Controller.
• Assisting in the provision of supporting documentation for the external auditors.

About You:

• Professional Accounting qualification (ACA,ACCA,CIMA) with 3years + post qualification experience.
• Experience in managing and developing junior team members.
• Great attention to detail.
• Outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent systems knowledge and the ability to learn new software quickly and advise upon it.
