This is a key role with responsibility for leading financial crime controls while supporting the MLRO across regulatory, audit, and risk management activities. 📍 Location: Birmingham (office-based) 💼 Position: Financial Crime Manager 📅 Full-Time | Permanent 💰 Salary: £55,000 per annum

Key responsibilities of the Financial Crime Manager & Deputy MLRO:

• Lead and oversee AML, CTF, sanctions, and broader financial crime frameworks.

• Act as Deputy MLRO, supporting the MLRO with regulatory reporting and external engagement.

• Manage financial crime risk assessments, policies, and controls.

• Support internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance monitoring activity.

• Work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders across the business.

• Provide guidance and challenge to the business on financial crime matters.

• Manage, coach, and develop a small compliance team.

• Stay up to date with regulatory developments and ensure ongoing compliance.

Key essentials of the Financial Crime Manager & Deputy MLRO:

• Strong experience in financial crime compliance within a regulated environment.

• Proven AML and financial crime expertise, with exposure to sanctions and CTF frameworks.

• Experience operating at Manager or Deputy MLRO level, or demonstrably ready to step up.

• Confident engaging with regulators, auditors, and senior stakeholders.

• People management experience or clear leadership capability.

• Practical, hands-on approach with strong judgement and attention to detail.
