Project Accountant

Robert Walters – Project Accountant – Permanent – Hybrid – Kidderminster – £65,000 per annum Our client, a dynamic and growing business based in Kidderminster, is seeking a Project Accountant to provide financial oversight and support across key projects. This role offers exposure to senior stakeholders, involvement in project financial management, and the opportunity to make a real impact within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. 📍 Location: Kidderminster 💼 Position: Project Accountant 📅 Full-Time 💰 Salary: £65,000 per annum 🏠 Working Pattern: Hybrid (up to 2 days from home)

Key responsibilities of the Project Accountant:

• Produce accurate and timely project financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.

• Monitor project costs, track expenditure, and ensure profitability and cost efficiency.

• Partner with project managers to provide meaningful financial insight and guidance.

• Support the preparation of business cases and financial evaluations for new projects.

• Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting.

• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and corporate governance standards.

• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to senior management as required.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance and project teams.

Key essentials of the Project Accountant:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.

• Proven experience in project accounting or project financial management roles.

• Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate financial information into actionable insight.

• Advanced Excel skills.
