Interim Finance Consultant – Manufacturing Duration: 6 months Location: Stockport area (onsite initially, hybrid thereafter) Rate/Salary: Up to £55,000 (pro-rata)

Overview

A specialist manufacturing business operating within the life sciences and pharmaceutical supply chain is seeking an Interim Finance Consultant to support the finance function during a particularly busy period. The role will provide hands-on financial support and commercial insight across operations, with exposure to international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and ownership of monthly Profit & Loss reporting, including detailed variance analysis

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring accuracy and robust commentary

  • Financial support to manufacturing operations, including cost control and margin analysis

  • Business partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders

  • Regular liaison with US-based stakeholders to support reporting and alignment

  • Ad-hoc financial analysis and support during peak activity

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

  • Proven experience within a manufacturing environment (essential)

  • Strong experience in P&L management, budgeting and forecasting

  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, including internationally

  • Hands-on, adaptable and able to add value quickly in an interim role

Working Arrangements
Initially onsite to support onboarding and understanding of the business, with the opportunity to move to a hybrid working model once established.
