My client, one of the UK's fastest growing PE-backed property businesses, are looking to hire a technically strong Finance Manager to join their brand new offices in South Manchester.

The Finance Manager will take ownership of a growing sub-group, overseeing the consolidation whilst managing a team of 3. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping financial strategy and control in a dynamic business. The business is PE-backed, so the successful candidate will be adaptable and able to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment, with huge opportunities for long term success.

What you'll do:

  • Lead preparation of group consolidations and cash flow statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Oversee the onboarding of new assets and the accounting for newly created legal entities
  • Monitor and manage debt compliance, liaise with lenders, and oversee covenant reporting
  • Collaborate with the treasury team to manage cash flow and forecasting
  • Take ownership of the annual reporting and audit process across the group
  • Develop and enhance internal controls and ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Oversee VAT, CIT returns, and liaise with tax advisors where necessary
  • Provide financial insights and support to operational and non-financial managers
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly management accounts to the senior leadership team and board
  • Conduct lease accounting and detailed revenue variance analysis at the lease level
  • Manage a team of 3 accountants

What you bring:

  • ACA / ACCA qualified with strong post-qualification experience
  • Excellent technical accounting skills, particularly IFRS and complex group consolidations
  • Real estate sector experience preferred (e.g. understanding of NOIs, lease structures, debt structures)
  • Proven track record managing multiple entities in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Strong communicator with the ability to engage with non-finance stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues
