Finance Manager

Finance Manager £60,000 - £70,000 + bonus Manchester (hybrid working)

Robert Walters are excited to be representing a hugely successful retail business in their search for an ambitious Finance Manager to join their high calibre leadership team. Reporting to an impressive Head of Finance, this varied future Finance Director role will be responsible for managing and developing a team, overseeing reporting for a global remit, audit liaison, driving continuous improvements and business partnering with key stakeholders outside of finance.

The role:

• Manage your team including development and coaching of both qualified and part-qualified individuals.
• Oversee statutory financial reporting including up to date knowledge of relevant standards.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all aspects of the divisional accounts.
• Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner, including review and sign off.
• Business partner with teams outside of finance on a regular basis.
• Provide key input towards strategy and contracts.
• Provide support to the Finance Director and deputise where required.
• Work towards and feed into a continual improvement mind set within your team and the wider group finance team.
• Developing the finance team and managing internal and external relationships.
• Developing necessary policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and control of the business.

You as the successful individual:

• Fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
• Proven experience in the preparation and review of financial reports.
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills ideally with prior team management experience.
• Ability to actively engage stakeholders and colleagues to ensure processes are executed consistently and complied with.
• Strong regulatory finance knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and to thrive under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
• Retail experience would be advantageous.
• Advanced Excel skills.
