Job details

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Site Accountant to join their team in Walsall. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing organisation, where you will play a key role in managing the financial health of the company. You will be responsible for preparing financial reports, budgeting, forecasting, ensuring compliance with regulations, and making recommendations based on financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities of the Site Accountant

As a Site Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to manage the financial health of the organisation. You will prepare accurate financial reports on a regular basis and develop effective budget strategies. Your keen eye for detail will enable you to conduct detailed financial analysis and make recommendations for improvement. You will also ensure that all financial operations comply with relevant regulations and standards. In addition, you will collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and manage tax planning to minimise liabilities.

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Develop effective budget strategies and oversee their implementation
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and make recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations
  • Manage tax planning and compliance to minimise tax liabilities

What the successful candidate will bring

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Industrial sector experience
  • Proven experience as an accountant or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Strong communication skills to present financial information clearly
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
