Financial Controller

Robert Walters are excited to be exclusively representing a high growth Manchester based business as they look to appoint a dynamic Financial Controller to work as their number two in finance.

Reporting into an impressive Financial Director, the successful individual will manage, develop and grow a team, embed new processes and controls to ensure a slick and efficient finance function, building financial models to be utilised for future commercial analysis and play a key role in navigating future transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mentoring, developing and growing the finance team within the Manchester office.
• Building strong working relationships with stakeholders from various departments, including operations and technology.
• Overseeing the production of month end reporting.
• Cash flow forecasting and updating the SLT on financial performance.
• Drive continuous improvements to processes within finance.
• Maintain the balance sheet on a monthly basis.
• Oversee a smooth year end audit and be a key contact for the external auditors.
• Provide commercial oversight of the businesses financial position to direct future investments and spend.
• Play a key role in a systems change/upgrade.

Your Background:

• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) ideally with 2+ years’ experience within industry.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build an develop relationships at all levels.
• Solid experience of driving process improvements and implementing and maintaining robust financial controls.
• Strong systems skills ideally with experience of a systems upgrade or implementation.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Team management would be an advantage.
