Financial Reporting Manager

Robert Walters are excited to be in exclusive partnership with a global market leading global business as they seek to appoint an ambitious Financial Reporting Manager to join their high calibre finance team.

In this role you will oversee responsibility of statutory reporting & audit for multiple entities across a global remit. You’ll lead and manage audits from planning the strategy and working with external auditors to meet regulatory standards.

This opportunity requires a technically strong individual who’s confident building relationships, coordinating and managing the statutory audit process, building relationships with the external auditors & providing a global oversight of the business from a financial perspective. You’ll need to be confident working with internal stakeholders, the external auditors & have a strong IFRS knowledge.

The Role:

  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations for regulated and non-regulated legal entities within the multinational company.
  • Coordinate and manage the statutory audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure timely completion and resolution of audit issues.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and drive process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, legal, and regulatory affairs, to ensure alignment on financial reporting matters and support business initiatives.
    Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations and assess the potential impact on financial reporting processes and controls.
  • Support the development of internal controls and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and other relevant parties, to address inquiries and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required by senior management, providing financial expertise and insights to drive decision-making.

You as the successful individual:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Ideally trained in a top 10 accounting practice.
  • Ambitious, keen to learn & progress within a growing business.
  • Proven experience supporting statutory audits and engaging with external auditors to resolve audit issues.
  • Experience in multi-currency consolidated groups would be beneficial.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting standards including IFRS.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Skill in analytical and statistical examination for complex problem solving.
  • Advanced Excel Skills.
