Assistant Financial Controller

Robert Walters are excited to be exclusively representing a high growth, international business as they look to appoint a dynamic Assistant Financial Controller to join their high calibre finance team. This role would suit an ambitious individual with aspirations to run a finance department in an international organisation.

This varied finance role will see you handle the production of monthly and quarterly reporting packs in accordance with internal & group deadlines. You’ll ensure the timely submission of timely financials, whilst building strong working relationships across the business to provide analysis to provide key insight into continued growth.

The Role:

• Ensure the smooth running of the UK financials, along with supporting international accounting operations.
• Produce end-to-end management accounts to ensure an accurate month-end close.
• Handle cash flow management.
• Ensuring the Group maintains a strong financial control environment.
• Business partner with budget holders and senior stakeholders within the UK and international teams.
• Handling the consolidation of the Groups accounts.
• Produce financial models to aid decision making & provide insight into company performance.
• Improve efficiencies and reduce costs across the business.
• Provide accurate budgeting & forecasting for the CFO & leadership team.
• Handle VAT returns, P11’s and companies house filings.
• Produce year-end statutory financial information and provide the interface between the Group and their Auditors.
• Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements and group consolidation.
• Present reports to senior executives and board members.

You as the Successful Individual:

• Fully CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified accountant.
• Sound technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent systems skills including advanced Excel proficiency.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• A strong communicator, both written and verbal.
• Ability to organize own workload.
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
