Our client is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Finance Business Partner to join their Finance team. This role, based in London, offers the opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking and successful organisation, driving continuous improvement to support current and future plans. The role is multi-faceted, requiring independence, good people skills, and occasional travel to operational offices abroad.

FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER

Salary: £65,000-£70,000

Location: London – flexible working arrangement: 3 days in the office and 2 days from home

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join their Finance team as a Finance Business Partner. This role, based in London, offers the opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking and successful organisation, driving continuous improvement to support current and future plans. The role is multi-faceted, requiring independence, good people skills, and occasional travel to operational offices abroad.

What you'll do:

* Finance Business Partner, you will play a vital role in supporting the organisation's financial objectives.

* Support initiatives targeted at financial processes improvement and implementation of changes to achieve efficiencies

* Write, review and ensure compliance with finance policies across the Group

* Perform quarterly balance sheet reviews/reconciliations for international subsidiaries

* Assist with the review of monthly management accounts and ensure all variances are fully explained

* Provide assistance and guidance to finance teams in Africa and South America to improve their technical, business and analytical skills

* Manage, review and investigate all aged open POs and related down payments

* Perform ad hoc financial data analysis for post-acquisition as required

* Assist and support with the review of annual budget process

* Support the vendor verification and compliance process

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Business Partner role will bring a wealth of experience in cost accounting principles within the Oil and Gas industry. You will be a qualified accountant or qualified by experience accountant, with over three years post-qualification experience ideally.

* Qualified accountant with 3 years+ PQE or QBE

* 5 years relevant experience of cost accounting principles preferably in the Oil and Gas industry

* Proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Word , MS Powerpoint and SAP

* Experience in the use of Power BI would be ideal but not essential

* Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

* Knowledge of IFRS accounting rules, financial reporting, technical skills would be an advantage

* Fluent English – Portuguese/ French is advantageous but not essential
