Financial Reporting Manager £65,000 - £70,000 + generous bonus Manchester

Robert Walters are excited to be representing a hugely successful blue-chip business who, due to an internal promotion, are seeking an ambitious Financial Reporting Manager to join their impressive finance team. This is an opportunity to join a well-established and market leading organisation with revenues in excess of £1 billion million during an exciting period of growth.

The role reports directly into an impressive senior member of the leadership team and will see you building relationships with senior stakeholders across the group, including C-suite, Audit committee, communications and social media teams, divisional FD's and MD's and CSR team in order to prepare FTSE quality external reporting.
You will manage, coach and develop a small team along with providing independent review and challenge around Balance Sheet reporting.

The role:

• Manage, coach and develop a small team.
• Build strong working relationships with the SLT across various business divisions.
• Drive adherence to standards and technical accounting across the group.
• Ensure statutory compliance with a number of entities.
• Key liaison between the audit and all other members of finance.
• Drive correct, beneficial and value adding decision making across the business.
• Maintain a strong knowledge base utilising this to evaluate potential impact on the group Accounts and identifying appropriate accounting treatments.
• Preparation of IFRS to management account bridges for use by Divisional FD’/ MD’s and senior finance leaders.
• Provide on-going accounting support to divisional finance, FP&A and commercial teams.
• Provide independent review and challenge around Balance Sheet reporting for the Group on a periodic basis.

The successful individual:

• Fully ACA qualified (big 4 desirable).
• Exposure of auditing or working within a large PLC.
• Strong leadership, team and people management credentials.
• Technically astute and ideally have exposure to a listed business.
• A solid technical accounting background with experience of implementing and maintaining strict financial controls.
• The ability to build strong working relationships and influence senior leaders.

This role requires a self-motivated and focused individual who will quickly establish themselves as a key senior member of the finance leadership team. You will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and support teams across finance coupled with building positive relationships with teams and leaders across the business.
