International Retail Organisation requires an Accounts Receivable Manager to join an expanding finance department
As an Accounts Receivable Manager, you will manage Team Leaders, ensuring direction and support is provided in all areas. As well as this, you will provide support to the Department Heads in the execution of their duties as well as forming a part of the development and implementation of new initiatives / process improvements and system changes.
Responsibilities:
• Taking responsibility and ownership of the day to day actions of the Accounts Receivables area
• Ensuring all sales are processed within SLAs, reconciliations and reviews completed, agreeing actions and providing feedback to all levels
• Ensuring all cash, card and other payment are posted within SLAs, reconciliations completed and reviewed agreeing actions and providing feedback to all levels
• Drive improvements to debtors and credit management processes
• Review of trade debtors reconciliations and commentary, agreeing actions to improve KPIs or highlight risks, providing feedback to all levels
• Monitoring month end activities and ensuring schedule is adhered to work in cooperation with other departments who can provide information, assistance and support
• Good communication with Finance Managers of different entities Support Accounts Receivable and the wider Finance team with resolving more complex queries
• Ensure that the performance of the Accounts Receivable team supports the company in meeting its financial obligations in an efficient manner
• Creation of standards and benchmarks to monitor and support performance reporting and reviews, underpinning support and challenge for Team Leaders and Specialists colleagues across the AR department
• Working closely with the Reporting Manager and ensuring KPI’s are communicated and analysed • Driving Accounts Receivable targets, including reduction of open items on GL & suspense accounts, unallocated payments and overdue debt
• Monthly meetings to review and provide clarity on the Trade Debtors position & Cash & Card reconciliation variance
The ideal candidate will have the following experience
• Previous experience and strong background in Accounts. • Previous experience managing a team, ideally within Accounts Receivable. • Proficiency with accounting software systems and Microsoft office, in particular Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook • Hands on, forward thinking and trustworthy leader who leads by example • Highly organised with strong attention to detail & accuracy • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload which could require flexibility. • SAP experience desirable but not essential
