Financial Reporting Policy and Technical Manager - Membership Organisation - Central London (3 days per week remote working - Circa £80,000 plus benefits package
Robert Walters is hiring for a Financial Reporting Policy and Technical Manager for a leading membership organisation - This role is based out of their Central London office but can support remote working 3/4 days per week.
This role sits as part of the Corporate Reporting Faculty, providing leadership to members of this organisation who work in the reporting focused roles.
The role is comprised of two main elements:
Policy and Advocacy
The Reporting Manager will represent the organisation and its members in advocating for a better, fairer and improved reporting profession, and for helping to bring about change and improvements to reporting legislation and standard and for improving the reporting field as a whole.
This work largely involves working with government, policy makers, regulatory bodies (e.g. FRC, IASB) and other leadership organisations involved in reporting, attending round-tables, producing white papers, and contributing to thought leadership pieces, either in response to topical events or as part of more forward-thinking plans - for example in developing areas such as sustainability and climate risk).
Technical Services
The Financial Reporting Manager will provided technical services to members of the organisation who work in reporting roles, including technical updates, topical content, thought-leadership pieces, policy articles and other content on hot-topic areas
This is published through a variety of formats such as newsletters, technical articles, producing webinars and videos, content for the website, in-person events and social media; Often you would work with 3rd party contributors who create the content which you will direct and curate, but you also write and create pieces yourself.
The company in question is a world-renowned membership organisation, with over 100,00 members worldwide, many of whom work in the reporting and accounting profession.
The company are well-known for being a great place to work, with a significant focus on ethics, charitable work, and committed to ensuring a strong work-life balance and a fantastic working environment.
For this role they are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / ICAS or equivalent), and someone with experience working in roles with a financial reporting element, or potentially someone with a focus on ESG reporting who has a background in accounting or audit.
The role comes with a salary of circa £79k-£82k + great benefits package including 9% pension contributions and family-level private healthcare.
