As the Finance Manager, you’ll work to support the Finance Controller with a variety of tasks, lead other finance teams to create new control frameworks and also establish balance sheet reconciliations during your time with the team.
The key responsibilities will be:
- Support the reporting and analysing of balance sheet accounts with detailed backing documentation and justification
- Manage a team of Management Accountants to embed new controls to establish a new controls framework
- Manage key relationships both internally and externally with auditors and working partners
- Develop best practice control framework and manage any process or policy documentation updates
- Monthly balance sheet review meetings to be led by successful applicant and the Financial Controller
- Support rolling forecast and cashflow modelling
- Consult with the business to highlight key inefficiencies and instigate discussions to resolve them efficiently
The successful candidate will need to ensure best practice prosses are met, and that all tasks are completed within the reporting deadlines. You will also need to develop business partnering across the division, requiring some previous commercial experience.
Previous experience needed from the Interim Financial Manager:
- Reporting across multiple statutory entities required
- Considerable experience across a Controls environment
- Demonstrated ability to run significant internal projects (process improvement, system development, external audit) alongside routine duties
- Advanced level Excel (Use Pivot tables, VLOOKUP and sum if functions)
- Proven ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Methodical and accurate with a proven ability to focus on detail
- Experience in a service industry preferred but not required
- Microsoft Dynamics - experience desirable but not essential
