Finance Manager

High growth business, based just outside Manchester City Centre,have created a new role for a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) as Finance Manager.

Due to exceptional year on year growth, this role has been created due to a recent internal promotion and to support the Group Financial Controller.

You will be reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller with your key deliverable being the timely completion of the consolidated weekly P&L. You will ensure the integrity and completeness of data and be a key point of contact for Commercial Managers, the Finance Director and the Executive Directors.

Key Responsibilities;

• Support and review the production of weekly costs reports
• Review the final consolidated P&L with the Finance Director
  before it goes out for board review
• Resolve team and commercial queries and act as the key point of contact
• Review and integrate the weekly cost movements between contracts
• Ensure all costs are picked up accurately each week through the production of true ups and further analysis
• Manage a team of graduate/trainee accountants
• Review all internal sales and cost centres
• Support the reconciliation of the weekly P+L figures and the
  monthly management account figures.
• Review the final consolidated P&L with the Finance Director
  before it goes out for board review

Key skills required;

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Ability to produce quality work under pressure and to deadlines, with an attention to detail
• Strong MS Excel capability
• Ability to communicate and build effective working relationships at all levels both internally
  and externally
• Flexible and creative approach to problem solving and decision making
• Desire to manage and develop trainee/part qualified direct reports
