An automotive business based in Milton Keynes are looking to recruit a Senior Finance Business Partner to join the team. The post holder will act as a business partner to the services management team and will support the Head of Business Control with end-to-end analytics and set up of new initiatives.
Responsibilities:

Drive the development and continual improvement of analytics and simplifying process where possible

Provide headline reporting on service operational performance and variances to forecast

Provide the Monday morning flash to the director, highlighting negative or unusual trends ahead of meetings
-
Provide dynamic analysis of trends relating to all areas of the business and help influence and challenge future decisions

Lead on the design and on-going development of new Power BI dashboards

Provide detailed monthly performance reviews for overall operations, including sales volumes, margin performance, workshop ratios and expenses control

Effectively challenge key stakeholders to drive improvements in KPI’s

Build analytical models to be used across the team to identify new risks & opportunities
-
Build useful TM1 linked reports bridging through Sales/Margin/Labour variance analysis

Customer profitability analysis identifying target/risk customers within our network

Undertake benchmarking exercises internally & externally to identify improvements in performance and simulate the potential returns from achieving set targets

Be actively involved in investment projects including the completion of both pre and post investment appraisals and support the Team to understand the financial outcomes of potential locations and relocations

Co-ordinate the services budgeting/projection cycles and facilitate an effective review

Work closely with the Central Finance function to ensure accurate and timely reporting to Group and compliance with internal controls and standards

Undertake ad-hoc projects as required by the Regional and MK Management Teams
Candidate Profile:
-
2-5 years post qualified accountant with clear commercial mindset
-
Knowledge of Power BI, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
-
An ability to work to tight deadlines
-
Previous experience from companies with complex operations
-
Strong communication and influencing skills
-
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and recommend actions based on multiple information sources

A high level of commercial awareness

Effective communication and presentation skills both verbally and written
