Our client is a hugely successful and iconic retailer based right in the centre of london. This is an exciting mainstream finance and commercial opportunity to work within a strategically driven yet down to earth fast paced team orientated environment. Working directly with senior management, the role will provide high level exposure and the opportunity to get involved in a range of commercial and operational finance projects.
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance you will be asked to take on a broad range of responsibilities across the team as follows
Management of the month end process, reviewing monthly management accounts preprared by the team and presenting the results to the Head of Finance.
Coordination of the monthly MA reporting packs and the quarterly business review packs. Includes writing P&L and BU commentary and producing overall top line commentary at both Management and Board level.
Lead quarterly business review with key stakeholders from the business including the CEO and CFO.
Responsibility for variance analysis including providing commercial insight to the board management and store managers to drive performance improvement initiatives
Overall responsibility for managing the annual budgeting process from a Management Accounts perspective.
Relationship building/management, business partnering and accounting support for relevant Business Unit and cost centre managers.
Management and production of relevant KPIs for Business Unit performance, financial and non-financial.
Successful on going business partnering with the operational and non finance teams
Manage and develop the commercial accounts team of 2
Support senior management in regards to ongoing and ad hoc operational and commercial finance project work
Applicants must possess a formal accountancy qualification or overseas equivalent as well as a minimum of 1 years relevant post qualified experience, ideally gained within the retail sapce but not essential
