Robert Walters is acting on behalf of Brooks Automation who are seeking to hire a new German speaking Finance Manager to act as a conduit between 4titude®, a recently acquired instrumentation business, and Brooks. The role, based in the Wotton offices of 4titude®, will provide accounting assistance to the current team at 4titude® and act as a management accountant within Brooks Automation.
Brooks Automation Inc is a US based and NASDAQ listed business that specialises in providing automation, vacuum and instrumentation equipment for multiple markets, including semiconductor manufacturing, technology device manufacturing and life sciences.
In 2017, Brooks acquired a UK based business 4titude®, situated in Wotton, Surrey to join the Consumables and Instruments division of Brooks Life Sciences. 4titude® specialises in the design, manufacture and marketing of consumables and bench top instrumentation for the life science and research industry.
Due to the acquisition, the business has a requirement for a new German speaking Finance Manager to act as a conduit between 4titude® and Brooks.
The role, based in the Wotton offices of 4titude®, will provide accounting assistance to the current team at 4titude® and act as a management accountant within Brooks Automation. This is a vital and important role for both businesses and will report directly into the European Financial Controller of Brooks. The Finance Manager will be responsible for compliance and controls, management accounts, reporting and year end audits.
In addition there will be responsibility for IT system implementation, assisting with the integration of future acquisitions and taking responsibility over future finance transformation programmes.
The role therefore combines both commercial and technical skills.
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), or equivalent qualifications
- Experience in ERP systems and drafting management accounts under UK and US GAAP
- Strong communication skills and proven experience of managing senior stakeholders including Directors
- Ideally candidates will have gained commercial experience within a business since qualifying, although candidates from practice will equally be considered
- Proficient German speaking
Ability to travel: the role will require travel to Brooks in Manchester and to other European operations.
