What you'll do:
As a Manager – Accounting Advisory Services Treasury you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of corporate treasury functions for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Undertake comprehensive reviews and implementations of treasury strategies, policies, target operating models, cash management processes, as well as technology and systems to ensure optimal client outcomes.
- Conduct detailed risk management assessments covering foreign exchange, interest rate exposures, credit risks, and commodities for a wide variety of organisations.
- Perform internal audits on treasury functions for clients ranging from large multinational corporations to housing associations and charitable entities, including benchmarking exercises.
- Provide technical support on accounting and regulatory change projects such as IFRS 9 implementation, new UK GAAP adoption, EMIR compliance, and Basel III requirements.
- Assist in delivering treasury advisory projects by contributing to strategy reviews, target operating model design, audit support activities, and collaborating within larger multi-disciplinary teams.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to the growth of the IFRS 9 client proposition/offering through proposal responses and relationship building with corporates, listed entities, and regulated organisations.
- Supervise junior staff members by overseeing their work quality and providing guidance to foster their professional growth within the team.
- Take responsibility for performance management of a small group of employees by setting clear objectives and supporting their ongoing development.
- Liaise directly with clients to address technical queries using your own expertise while recognising when additional input from senior colleagues is required.
- Contribute actively to the overall success of the team by sharing knowledge and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
What you bring:
To excel as a Manager – Accounting Advisory Services Treasury you will bring proven experience gained within accounting advisory or corporate treasury environments.
- Experience working within an accounting advisory function in either a professional services firm or corporate business sector is essential for this role.
- Demonstrated experience in a Corporate Treasury function with robust technical knowledge of financial instruments, risk management practices, treasury strategies, systems implementation, governance frameworks and controls is required.
- Sound understanding of IAS 39 and IFRS 9 standards along with practical application experience is necessary to provide effective client support.
- Proven track record in business development activities involving both new client acquisition and nurturing existing relationships is highly desirable.
- Possession of a recognised professional qualification from an accountancy body (such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is mandatory for consideration.
- Excellent written communication skills are vital; you must be able to present complex information clearly both verbally and in writing to varied audiences.
- Highly effective stakeholder management abilities are needed; you should be comfortable building rapport with individuals at all organisational levels.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail are important for interpreting intricate technical data accurately.
