Accountant Client Manager

What you'll do:
As a Client Accounting Manager based in Harpenden, you will play a pivotal role in supporting clients’ financial success through expert review of accounts and management reports. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve identifying growth opportunities, optimising tax planning strategies, and ensuring strict compliance with UK regulations. You will nurture strong client relationships by maintaining regular communication throughout the year, not just at year-end. In addition to leading junior team members within the UK office, you will coordinate with outsourced support to guarantee seamless service delivery. The role also offers unique exposure to international accounting practices through involvement in Dubai tax planning projects—comprehensive training will be provided so you can confidently expand your expertise. You’ll have the opportunity to work on complex business structuring assignments such as mergers and acquisitions, collaborating closely with colleagues to deliver outstanding results for clients navigating significant transitions. - Review accounts and management reports thoroughly to identify business growth opportunities for clients, ensuring all recommendations are tailored to their unique needs.
- Spot tax planning opportunities proactively by analysing financial data and keeping abreast of current UK regulations, helping clients optimise their tax positions.
- Ensure full compliance with UK accounting standards and regulatory requirements through diligent oversight of all client accounts and documentation.
- Manage client relationships in a proactive manner, maintaining regular contact throughout the year rather than waiting for annual reviews or deadlines.
- Lead delivery across junior UK team members by providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their professional development within the practice.
- Coordinate effectively with outsourced support teams to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in Dubai accounting and tax planning activities, receiving comprehensive training to broaden your international expertise and add value for global clients.
- Work on mergers, acquisitions, and complex business structuring projects by applying your analytical skills to deliver strategic solutions for clients facing significant change.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across departments to share knowledge, best practices, and insights that enhance overall service quality.
- Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of internal processes by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing effective solutions.
