This is an exceptional opportunity to join a team where your expertise will be valued and your professional growth supported. You will work directly with partners and directors, delivering client-focused services to a diverse portfolio that includes charities, schools, religious organisations, NHS charities, Oxford colleges, and commercial clients.

Work closely with experienced partners and directors on high-impact audits for respected non-profit organisations including charities, educational institutions, and healthcare foundations.

Enjoy flexible working arrangements and comprehensive training opportunities designed to support your career progression within a collaborative and inclusive team.

Take on a pivotal role mentoring junior colleagues while actively participating in practice development initiatives and engaging with clients at all levels.

What you'll do:

As Supervisor – Audit, Accounts and Advice (Non-Profit Sector), you will play an integral part in delivering high-quality audit services to an impressive range of clients.

  • Lead audits for companies, solicitors, charities, schools, and other organisations by planning assignments thoroughly and ensuring successful completion of jobs across various sectors.
  • Supervise audit teams on-site by reviewing junior staff’s work, providing technical guidance on accounting and audit queries, and fostering a nurturing learning environment.
  • Apply both substantive and controls-based audit approaches while demonstrating expertise in primary accounting frameworks relevant to the non-profit sector.
  • Draft clear recommendations for management following audit fieldwork completion to help clients improve their processes and compliance.
  • Prepare detailed agendas for close-out audit meetings and highlight key points for discussion with stakeholders.
  • Compile tax computations and complete Corporation Tax returns (CT600), ensuring accuracy and compliance with current regulations.
  • Produce statutory accounts for companies as well as consolidated accounts for groups, partnerships, and LLPs under FRS102 and IFRS requirements from client draft figures.
  • Maintain close liaison with clients, including direct contact at partner or director level, and other stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Motivate junior team members by encouraging their development, promoting the interests of the firm internally and externally, and acting as a positive role model.
  • Contribute to special projects such as benchmarking reports, management information reviews, proposal pitches, or any other ad hoc assignments as required.

What you bring:

Your background as Supervisor – Audit, Accounts and Advice (Non-Profit Sector) will include substantial experience auditing non-profit entities such as charities or educational institutions.

  • Hold ACA/ACCA qualification or an internationally recognised chartered accounting credential that demonstrates your technical proficiency.
  • Demonstrate proven experience conducting audits within the non-profit sector including charities, schools or similar organisations.
  • Show capability in leading audit teams effectively by supervising junior staff members during assignments both on-site and remotely.
  • Exhibit strong technical competence across accounting frameworks such as FRS102 and IFRS relevant to statutory accounts preparation.
  • Possess hands-on experience using Pro-audit software along with CCH Accounts Production; familiarity with Xero accounting, Quickbooks, Alphatax or Office 365 would be advantageous.
  • Display high levels of personal motivation coupled with adaptability when facing new challenges or changing priorities within the team environment.
  • Communicate complex accounting concepts clearly to clients of varying backgrounds while maintaining credibility during presentations or meetings.
  • Organise workloads efficiently by prioritising tasks appropriately so deadlines are consistently met without compromising quality.
  • Encourage teamwork by motivating others through positive reinforcement while promoting an inclusive culture within the office.
  • Present yourself as personable yet confident so clients feel assured of your ability to relate to them professionally.
