Robert Walters are hiring for an Engagement Leader - Accounting Firms with a global membership body for accountants.
This membership body is world-renowned and are the largest organisation of accountants globally.
The Engagement Leader - Accounting Firms is responsible for leading the membership body's engagement and support to accountants working in practice, and to the accounting firms in which they work.
The Engagement Leader will manage two direct reports, and together the team has two main tasks:
- Providing support to member accountants in areas such as new legislation, technical or topical accounting updates, and providing guidance on ethical issues, provision of interesting or helpful content to the members
- Engaging with the member firms, helping them on strategic issues such as how to attract and retain staff, providing guidance on systemic issues affecting practice firms such as the changing audit landscape, the skills-shortage, and other practical advice to owner-managers or leadership groups in the profession.
As such this is a really unique role, offering someone in the profession a real contrast - No timesheets, overtime, late-hours or selling - Instead a role combining thought leadership, strategic engagement, and offering a role where you can "give back" to the profession and support the next generation of accountants.
They are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA / ICAS / ACCA) with current or recent experience working in the profession at a managerial or leadership level, and natural relationship-builder with commercial acumen and strategic insight.
The position is based out of their Central London office but supports 3 days per week working from home, and comes with short, regular hours and a strong work-life balance.
The role has a salary of circa £80,000-£87,000 plus a great benefits package.
