Credit Supervisor

Chemical Manufacture based in Cheshire require a Credit Supervisor for a 12 month contract

Reporting to the Head Of Collections you will responsible for managing a team of 6 who will reduce debtor days and drive down aged debt

Key responsibilities include:

• To drive recovery of all funds invoiced to clients within the terms and conditions set and within the boundaries of the policies set by the company and within the law of the land.

• To drive the reduction of the company DSO and ageing provisions in place.

• To optimise cash flow and profit for each entity within your remit.

• Manage the reduction and allocation of payment and credit notes on ledgers.

• To engage and drive continuous improvements through process improvements and project management.

• To manage day to day requirements of the collections teams under your remit

• In collaboration with Field Associate may negotiation settlements with client.

• In collaboration with Division, Functions and Markets improve processes and business outcomes.

• Will be expected to travel to client’s offices for review meetings

• Consult with customers to resolve complaints.

• Consult with customers to verify financial and credit transactions

• Assists in financial analysis of credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved and extend credit facilities according.

• Risk assessment and decision making on release of orders on delinquent or disputed accounts, in line with company policy.

• Legal review of delinquent accounts

• Processing of court papers and documentation within the UK Court system

The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months accounts payable experience, intermediate excel skills and the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
