Credit Controller

An exciting Credit Controller position has recently become available at a Market-Leading business based in the Stockport area. It is an exciting time to join the business and there is future opportunity to move into senior positions. In this role, you will work within the wider finance function and be responsible for the end to end Credit Control across the company.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Ensuring that all debts are chased and collected via telephone, email or letter

• Pro-actively ensure debts are paid in a timely manner, meeting cash & debtor day targets

• Building and maintaining relationships with customers

• Managing the setup of new customer accounts

• Proactively investigate queries from customers (following internal escalation process when necessary)

• Maintaining client relationships

• Liaise with credit referencing agencies and credit insurers

• Responsible for improvement of the credit control system and procedures

Key Skills/Experience Required:

• Strong working experience in a B2B credit control role is essential

• Commercial debt collections experience is ideal, although not essential

• Ability to effectively process and manage a large number of debts with a range of clients

• Fantastic customer service skills

• Excellent communication (both written and verbal), with the ability to build rapport and communicate at all levels

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
