An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified ACA professional to join an award winning business within corporate finance as a Finance Analyst. This role offers an attractive salary range of £50,000 - £60,000 and is based in the vibrant city of Manchester. The successful candidate will be part of the Investment division, ensuring the most appropriate decisions are made on behalf of relevant parties.

This role provides opportunities for hybrid working and is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role within the Investment team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that allocation decisions are made effectively on behalf of investors. You will be actively involved in various areas including client relations, investment & lending decisions, as well as ongoing portfolio management, valuation, and performance monitoring. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, an ability to work under pressure, manage multiple workstreams and provide guidance to senior management.

  • Support in planning and coordinating the quarterly valuation process, liaising with internal/external stakeholders to schedule relevant meetings/committees.
  • Monitor performance of funds under management, noting any trends or risk factors and understanding their impact on portfolio value.
  • Keep abreast of macroeconomic trends and analyse their potential impact on portfolio value.
  • Assist in producing materials required for the quarterly Portfolio Review Committee (PRC).
  • Present quarterly valuation materials to senior stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Coordinate reviews/audits undertaken by external parties, liaising with stakeholders and assisting in material design/production.
  • Support senior management in optimising the quarterly valuation process across all product types.

What you bring:

The ideal Finance Analyst will bring a strong academic background within a quantitative discipline along with an ACA qualification. You will have at least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within an accounting organisation. Your strong MS Office Excel skills will be essential in this role. As a self-motivated individual, you will be capable of using your initiative to drive improvements in business processes. Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to communicate effectively at various levels and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong academic background within a quantitative discipline such as Business Economics, Accounting or STEM related field of study.
  • ACA qualified.
  • 5+ years’ relevant work experience, including financial consulting firm and/or multinational professional services.
  • Experience in an accounting organisation.
  • Strong MS Office Excel skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure managing multiple workstreams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (written and oral) with ability to communicate effectively at various levels.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of using own initiative to drive improvements in business processes.
