Robert Walters are hiring for a Corporate Finance Technical Manager for a leading global membership body for financial professionals based in Central London.
This is a extremely unique role focusing on thought leadership, content creation, and policy and advocacy work in the corporate finance sector.
The Corporate Finance Technical Manager will work closely with the Head of Corporate Finance in providing thought leadership and content to the 6500 corporate finance professionals who are members of this organisation, and in addition will contribute to policy and advocacy activities aimed at improving the corporate finance sector.
Thought Leadership:
This person will focus is on producing thought leadership pieces, technical updates, topical content, articles on policy work, and generally engaging content for the 6500 members of the community – this comes in the form of articles, website content, newsletters etc – But a particular focus on the magazine that this company produces – This person will need to use their experience, innovation and support of third-parties to think of and produce content for each edition of the magazine (with support from a dedicated editor)
Policy / Advocacy:
The policy work that this person will support includes working with MPs, civil servants, member of house of Lords, industry bodies on helping to improve the UK policies and legislation around corporate finance - This involves sitting on committees, helping to write green and white papers, and will occasionally involve press work with both the broadcast and print press.
Growth areas / projects for this person is to grow their social media presence, support the digitalization of the magazine, and work towards hosting more in-person meetings and events for the community.
This is a highly unique position which doesn't involve doing typical corporate finance activities, and therefore comes with really unique work, and a much improved work-life balance - 9-5 hours are typical, with no need to stay late, and ability to work from home 3 days per week.
The role comes with a salary of circa £70,000-£77,000 plus benefits package.
The company is looking for someone with a background in corporate finance / deals / funding / transaction services / M&A / private equity / equity investment
No prior financial journalism / content creation experience is required, hence it would be a great opportunity for someone interested in working in these areas for the first time.
