The main objective of the role is to ensure that the financial statements reflect accurately the current position of the business performance and all material balance sheet items are reconciled.

Role Description:

• All bank reconciliations (sterling, foreign currency and subsidiaries)

• Clear down and manage bank transactions and reconciliation

• Sales ledger control account reconciliation

• Purchase ledger control account reconciliation

• Payroll control account reconciliations (net pay, pensions, expense advances, deductions)

• Other reconciliations as directed

• Clear down and management of unidentified cash suspense account and others as directed by the Control Team Leader

• Review and resolution of debit balances on the purchase ledger

• Accurate and timely accrual on monthly expenditure by facilitating the monthly purchase invoice accrual

• Assist with the collation of internal and external audit data

• Ensure that the payroll interface from CORE into Agresso is reconciled on a monthly basis

• Ensure that the transactions posted from CORE are coded to the correct account code in Agresso, ensuring that the pay costs in the financial system are accurately recorded

• Meet with Payroll team monthly to resolve coding issues and balance queries

• Ensure that the interface for accommodation fees and tuition fees is reconciled on a quarterly basis

• Ensure that the interface for payment requests between Tulip and Agresso is reconciled on a monthly basis

The Person:

• AAT studlier or 2-3 years of accounts experience

• Can effectively use excel – Pivots & V-looks ups

• Use of Agresso is an advantage but not essential

• Respectful, proactive, self-motivated and professional
