Part Qualified Finance Business Partner

We are hiring a Commercial Manager who is immediately available to join a buzzy office based in London. As a Commercial Manager, you’ll play a key role in the finance team, partnering with client teams to deliver accurate reporting, insights, and financial best practices. You’ll help drive growth, improve margins, and ensure compliance with financial controls. This role offers opportunities for personal development, leadership, and strategic impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Reporting:

• Provide timely and accurate financial reports and insights for assigned clients.
• Ensure revenue recognition complies with IFRS15 standards and internal processes.
• Lead revenue forecasting, budgeting, and live updates with clear commentary on variances.
• Manage working capital (e.g., accrued revenue, debtors, WIP) to maximize cash flow.
• Collaborate with WIP Managers to ensure proper project governance and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate client rate cards and handle ad hoc client requests.

Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and audit requirements.
• Support audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations.
• Maintain client contract summaries and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.

Commercial Best Practices:

• Partner with client teams to provide proactive advice based on data analysis.
• Support pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and profitability improvements.
• Drive accountability for financial KPIs across agency teams.
• Develop tools to measure profitability, resource utilization, and margin improvement.

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Contribute to improving commercial finance processes using technology and innovation.
• Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing.
• Champion systems like Workday to streamline workflows and approvals.
• Collaborate with global and regional finance teams when needed.

What You’ll Need:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant with a strong commercial mindset.
• Proactive communicator who can influence behaviors and drive change.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail while seeing the bigger picture.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Workday is a plus.
• Experience in advertising/media is advantageous but not essential.
