Pricing Manager
Are you an experienced pricing professional looking to take your career to the next level? Our client is seeking a Pricing Manager to lead and influence pricing strategies for their Transaction practice groups. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you’ll play a key role in driving commercial success and enhancing pricing capabilities across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective pricing strategies for Transaction practice groups in collaboration with regional heads of practice.
- Provide tactical pricing support for high-value tenders, pitches, and matter-based pricing requests.
- Act as a trusted advisor to partners, offering data-driven recommendations and negotiation strategies for significant pricing decisions.
- Conduct financial modelling, scenario analysis, and proactive data analysis to better understand costs and improve decision-making.
- Create tools, training programs, and guidance materials to enhance pricing execution capabilities across the firm.
- Review and advise on pricing aspects of commercial agreements, RFPs, and pitches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Business Finance, Business Development, Digital Legal Delivery) to align activities and drive firm-wide pricing initiatives.
- Support long-term behavioural change by coaching lawyers on best practices in pricing strategy.
Key Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a pricing or commercial function, ideally within professional services.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and make informed recommendations.
- Proven ability to interact successfully with clients on pricing matters, including direct negotiations.
- Exceptional numerical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
- Understanding of law firm economics and fee models is highly desirable.
- Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree qualification.
