Commercial Accountant

This role will provide vital support to senior leadership, focusing on financial analysis, cost optimisation, and helping to drive business performance across multiple sites. 📍 Location: Birmingham (1 day a week on-site) 💼 Position: Commercial Accountant 📅 Full-Time 💰 Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Accountant:

• Collaborate closely with the Chief Operating Officer and divisional teams to monitor and achieve financial targets, particularly EBITDA.
• Analyse underperforming areas, advising on cost structures and operational improvements.
• Lead cost management projects and deliver financial guidance to non-finance stakeholders.
• Create and manage financial models in Excel and Power BI to support operational decision-making.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets, CAPEX evaluations, and financial analyses for new projects, tenders, and acquisitions.
• Assist the revenue management team with fee-setting processes and manage fee uplifts.
• Present financial updates to senior management and participate in key leadership discussions.
• Conduct site visits to better understand operations and ensure financial strategies align with business needs.

Candidate Profile:

• CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified with significant experience in commercial finance.
• Demonstrated experience in multi-site operations.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
• Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and capable of thriving in a fast-moving environment.
