Finance Business Partner Salary: Competitive and based on experience Location: Birmingham Our client is seeking a Finance Business Partner to play an influential role in delivering financial and commercial support to one of their largest regions. This high-profile role offers the opportunity to improve service levels, enhance cost-effectiveness, and add value to commercial activities through effective business partnering. What you'll do:
As a Finance Business Partner, you will be instrumental in delivering financial and commercial support to one of our client's largest regions. Your role will involve partnering with the Regional Business Director, ensuring robust commercial decisions are made while managing financial risks. You'll also be responsible for preparing annual budgets, reviewing monthly management information, promoting working capital improvements, providing financial oversight for contract amendments, and line managing a remote finance team.
• Partner with the Regional Business Director to ensure strong commercial and operational decision making
• Develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Work with the wider finance team to continually develop KPIs
• Prepare and review annual budgets and reforecasting
• Ensure month end journals and accounts closure
• Prepare monthly business review pack and present at MD/Head of Finance monthly meeting
• Promote working capital improvements through timely, accurate contract billing
• Calculate and manage the financial risks and opportunities arising from contract mechanisms
• Provide financial oversight for all contract amendments and service pricing
• Line manage and develop a remote finance team that work in each contract

What you bring:
The ideal Finance Business Partner will bring a wealth of experience in large contract management, budgeting, forecasting, advanced excel modelling, stakeholder management, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, as well as resilience when faced with challenges. A CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification with over 3 years of post-qualification experience is essential. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have a proven track record of partnering with non-financial colleagues at a senior level.


• Commercial experience gained in large contract management
• Experience in preparation and review of budgeting and forecasting in a matrix environment
• Advanced excel and modelling skills
• Proven track record of Business Partnering with non-financial colleagues up to a senior level
• Comfortable working with uncertainty and in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven stakeholder management experience
• Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills with an ability to influence stakeholders
• Results orientated mindset with resilience to challenges
