This is a key, hands-on finance leadership role supporting site performance, strengthening financial control, and partnering closely with operational stakeholders in a fast-paced plant environment. 📍 Location: Redditch 💼 Position: Assistant Financial Controller 📅 Full-Time | Permanent 💰 Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 per annum

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Controller:

• Support the Financial Controller with the day-to-day financial management of the manufacturing site.

• Lead month-end close processes, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant reporting.

• Prepare and review management accounts, forecasts and budgets for the site.

• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements.

• Partner with operations and plant leadership to drive cost control, productivity and performance improvement.

• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial data.

• Support audits and act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

• Provide leadership, coaching and development to junior finance team members.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and systems.

• Support strategic and ad-hoc financial analysis to aid decision-making at site level.

Key essentials of the Assistant Financial Controller:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or plant-based finance environment.

• Confident business partner with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.

• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
