Financial Controller

What you’ll be doing:

• Oversee all plant-level financial reporting and month-end close activities.
• Lead cost accounting, inventory control, and variance analysis to support efficient production.
• Provide clear, insightful financial commentary to help senior management make informed decisions.
• Maintain strong internal controls across the site.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting processes.
• Partner with operational teams to provide real-time financial support.
• Streamline processes and systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Work with external auditors and key internal stakeholders.
• Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

What we’re looking for:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within an SME.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and plant financial management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with non-finance colleagues.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong systems experience.
