Interim Financial Controller
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a leading organisation in Warwick. This role offers the chance to oversee all accounting operations, manage financial reporting cycles, and work closely with stakeholders on key strategic initiatives.
📍 Warwick (Hybrid)
📆 6-month contract
⏰ Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week)
💷 £350 - 450 per day (Inside IR35)
What you'll do:
As an Interim Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all accounting operations, managing financial reporting cycles, and working closely with stakeholders on key strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for monitoring cash flow, assessing the financial impact of proposed projects, coordinating the planning, budgeting and forecasting process for UK and Ireland. Your role will also involve developing and maintaining effective internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets. You will manage local treasury functions and cash flow forecasting while conducting financial analysis to support business decision-making. A key part of your role will be providing leadership, development and direction to the Finance team.
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger
- Manage financial reporting cycles ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Monitor cash flow and assess the financial impact of proposed projects
- Coordinate the planning, budgeting and forecasting process for UK and Ireland
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets
- Manage local treasury functions and cash flow forecasting
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making
- Provide leadership, development and direction to Finance team
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Interim Financial Controller position will bring a wealth of experience in senior financial management roles. You will have professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA along with a degree in finance, accounting or a related field. Your background will include significant experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis as well as financial reporting and compliance. A proven track record of building team capability and nurturing staff development is essential for this role.
