Financial Reporting Manager

A Financial Reporting Manager role working with a globally recognised property and real estate company based in Central London. The Financial Reporting Manager will oversee the accounting for period end close deliverable financial reporting process related to the Luxembourg Investment Management Business. The candidate will work closely with the Luxembourg office and will be required to have strong technical knowledge of Lux GAAP.

  • Provide oversight of month-end, quart end and year end close, reporting processes and deliverables of Luxembourg's accounting team and oversight of coordinating with the Shared Service Centre
  • Responsible for the preparation of annual financial statements including all statutory disclosures under LUX GAAP, including liaising with tax specialists
  • Main point of contact for annual external audit process
  • Manage the monthly accounting close process, ensuring all entries are posted on time with sufficient IPE documentation. Reporting directly to the Global reporting Controller team in the US, monitoring and providing informed commentary on P&L, Balance Sheet and Variance Analysis
  • Review key risk balance sheet reconciliations. Maintain documented internal controls and policies
  • Review in detail schedules and related commentary on key business line items, including carried interest revenue expense and related accruals, fund and real estate project co-investment balances, incentive compensation expense and accruals, profit sharing and bonus calculations, inter company recharges, balance sheet reconciliations
  • Liaise with internal specialists and external tax adviser to ensure compliance with all tax filing requirements and appropriate and accurate reporting in the financial statements. Responsibility for accurate submissions & payment for all VAT tax filings for Luxembourg entities on a timely basis.

Ideally the canidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified with 5 years professional experience in industry.

MUST have knowledge/exposure of LUX GAAP.
