Based in the heart of London, the Head of Asset Finance will be the 2IC to the CFO, leading a team across reporting, financial planning and control. The responsibilities of the Head of Asset Finance will include

• Oversee the preparation of financial information regarding the performance of all operational assets (including Retail Outlets, Residential and Commercial Partnerships business) on a periodic basis for both internal management reporting and external Joint Venture partners including any new or additional assets.
• Oversee the preparation of financial information related to the project phases of Residential and Development Assets, working with the Development teams to ensure consistency over the life cycle of projects as they move to Operations/Asset Management.
• Oversee presentation of periodic financial reporting to external Joint Venture (JV) partners for all operational assets (e.g. income share calculations, debtors, profit/loss reporting, distributions calculations).
• Manage the delivery of annual budgets (5 year business plan) and quarterly forecasts for service charge income and expenditure, insurance income and expenditure, marketing activities, non-recoverable costs, other operational income, the Commercial Partnerships business, and operating capital expenditure.
• Preparation and reporting of cash flow forecasts as required for operational centres.
• Engage with business stakeholders and the Controlling department to understand and provide insights into drivers of actual performance of the assets (e.g. variance analysis).
• Manage the capital expenditure accounting process, collaborating with the relevant asset team and liaising with Consolidation & Accounting to support updates for internal management reporting and updates to the external Joint Venture partners.
• Manage and co-ordinate engagement with external auditors in the relevant local UK statutory, group and service charge audits, including collaborating with the Consolidation and
• Lead and support initiatives to drive continuous improvement in financial processes and controls as required (e.g. SAP ERP implementation).
• Team management of the UK Asset Finance team; mentoring and supporting the team through regular coaching and feedback to drive team development and performance;

The ideal Consolidations Manager will be

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
• Experienced in real estate, especially JV accounting;
• Technically strong and commercially aware
• Experienced in dealing with financial and non-financial stakeholders - both internal and external;
• Skilled in Microsoft excel and accounting software;
• Able to communicate to a high level;
• Skilled in team management and development;
• Able to work towards tight deadline
