Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise your accounting skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will be responsible for Assistant with management accounts, posting contractor payroll, reconciling related balance sheet accounts, and supporting the finance team.

The successful candidate will have the chance to work on various projects, identify potential process improvements, and liaise with auditors.

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy within the company. Your primary responsibilities will include producing Management Accounts for a business entity, managing weekly payroll journals, and reconciling payroll creditors accounts. You will also prepare monthly HMRC RTI payments and liaise with the payroll team to resolve any issues. Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying potential process improvements and implementing them in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

* Production of Management Accounts for an entity of the business

* Weekly balancing and posting of payroll journals

* Reconciling payroll creditors accounts

* Monthly preparation of HMRC RTI payments

* Liaising with the payroll team to ensure all contractor deduction requests are raised and queries resolved

* Monthly reconciliation of pension creditor and investigation of any variances

* Identification of possible process improvements and working with stakeholders to implement them

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Assistant Accountant position brings a wealth of experience in accounting or a related field. You possess a strong understanding of payroll processes and have proven experience in account reconciliation. Your knowledge extends to HMRC RTI payments, which you can prepare on a monthly basis. Your excellent communication skills enable you to liaise effectively with various teams within the company. Furthermore, your ability to identify potential process improvements and implement them sets you apart.
