Commercial Analyst

Are you an experienced business / commercial analyst? With extensive experience working with large data sets and competent using pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUPS and complex formula? Looking for a business-facing commercially focused role within a renowned media firm? As a result of growth, we are currently working exclusively to recruit a Commercial Analyst to join their rapidly growing organisation within the media space. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside their senior leadership team to: analyse staff utilisation, lead gross profit and contribution analysis, forecast live revenue and new business pipelines, and lead the implementation and process of their new time sheet platform.

At your core, as Commercial Analyst you’ll be responsible for designing and building new models & reports and presenting your findings to a variety of stakeholders to better inform their future strategic decisions. You’ll also have the scope to create, design and implement processes to drive efficiency's in communication between our core departments.

Further responsibilities include:

• Provide insight into business performance; explaining variances to budgets and forecasts
• Weekly / monthly project Gross Profit analysis and reporting
• Analyse and present business/market trends to support commercial business critical decisions
• Manage the implementation and process of their new timesheet platform
• Support the wider finance team on an ad hoc project basis

Successful applicants will have 2+ years experience in a similar Commercial Analyst / Business Analyst role. With strong communication skills and prior experience business partnering with non-finance stakeholders. You will have worked with timesheets / timesheet system in your previous role with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

You will ideally be actively studying towards ACA / ACCA or CIMA with an interest/experience of working within the Media industry.
