The primary purpose of this role is to support the business with the preparation of cash flow and P&L based appraisals for complex strategic real estate projects in UK and Ireland. The embedded client facing resource will execute and / or lead on the delivery of financial analysis and portfolio planning deliverables within the strategy work stream for a large client within the Financial Services industry. The company have modern offices and are currently operating a hybrid model with a mix of working from their London office and WFH.
The Portfolio Strategy Analyst will be responsible for;
· Lead scenario modelling and drafting of business cases including complex financial analyses (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet impact) up to budget approval.
· Prepare business cases and recommendations ensuring alignment with Client’s business objectives and wider regional portfolio strategy.
· Analyze financial impact of real estate transactions using net present value, IRR, book impact, and company and/or client-specific processes. Review the accuracy of the information provided and respond to requests from management and clients.
· Provide financial input on reports and recommendations for property transactions in addition to producing clear, insightful outputs to be included in approval papers for executive and board reviews.
· Provide detailed financial analysis of prospective opportunities and assist in the preparation of board / executive level papers.
· Offer general finance advice and analysis as required by the business and/or Client’s real estate team including CTA (Cost to Achieve) analysis, P&L impacts and report on ROUA (Right of Use Asset) implications.
· Actively monitor and advise Client on lease accounting policies (IFRS 16), emerging market and sector trends and best practices.
· Other ad-hoc projects as and when required
The ideal candidate will be
· ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CFA Qualified or equivalent
· Experienced in working within the real estate & property sector;
· Experienced in dealing with financial and non-financial stakeholders - both internal and external;
· Well versed in financial accounting a technical reporting requirements;
· Able to communicate to a high level;
· Able to work towards tight deadline;
