Job Title: Professional Consultant/Technical Advisor - Audit & Accounts (Permanent, Full-time) Location: Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire (work from home available 2-3 days per week) Salary: £65,500 - £74,000 (plus a benefits package including: family-level healthcare and 9% pension contributions)

Robert Walters are hiring for a Professional Consultant (Technical Advisor) specialising in Audit & accounts for a world-leading professional membership organisation.

This is a full-time permanent role. The role is based out if their Milton Keynes head office with 2 - 3 days per week working from home. The role is entirely office based with no travelling required.

The role comes with a salary of circa £65k - £75k plus a great benefits package that includes 9% pension contributions and family-level healthcare).

Summary:

The role is to provide technical advice to company members to accountancy, audit and finance professionals by offering them best practice advice, guidance and professional opinion on a wide range of technical, ethical and anti-money laundering issues.

You answer queries using your own knowledge, with help from other team members, from a database of prior technical questions, and from good-old-fashioned research

Responsibilities include:

• Understand, diagnose and provide comprehensive practical advice on a wide range of professional matters.

• Provide excellent customer service; resolving member enquiries from a variety of channels.

• Record enquiries on the member database.

• Maintain a thorough and up to date technical accounting knowledge.

• Develop and maintain relationships with specialists in other departments to share knowledge and to develop TAS.

• Contribute to team’s understanding of members’ needs and expectations, supporting colleagues in offering the best possible advice and guidance.

• Develop material to support members in a multi-media environment.

• Outreach – attending / presenting / supporting at member events

• Specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the business needs.

The company are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ICAS) who is trained in practice and/or accounts. It would be advantageous to have had prior experience in training/technical roles.
