What you'll do:
As a German Speaking Credit Controller, your role will be integral to the transformation of our finance department. You will take ownership of managing customer accounts, striving to maximise cash collection and minimise risk. Your proactive approach will ensure that outstanding debts are collected promptly and efficiently. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department, particularly focusing on reducing the number of days debts remain overdue. This role requires excellent relationship management skills as you will be interacting with both customers and internal colleagues.
- Proactively collect outstanding debt to meet collection targets
- Maintain accurate records on chasing and payment promises
- Assist with the workload of other team members occasionally
- Drive continuous improvement in the number of days debts remain overdue
- Manage and monitor new customer accounts set up, including setting and controlling credit limits
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal colleagues
- Manage your own portfolio of accounts, ensuring outstanding debts are collected in line with company policy
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this German Speaking Credit Controller position brings a wealth of experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable. You are familiar with accounting software and have a strong working knowledge of MS Excel. Your proactive nature and ambition drive you to excel in your role. You possess excellent time management and organisational skills which enable you to manage your workload effectively. Whether working independently or as part of a team, you consistently deliver high-quality results. Fluency in French or German would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Experience working within a transactional finance fucntion in any discipline is essential
- Experience in using accounting software is beneficial but not essential
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel is preferred but not essential
- Proactive and ambitious nature
