Accounts Receivable Assistant

Do you have over 3+ years Accounts Receivable experience? With experience working within the Retail sector? Ideally having hands-on experience liaising with warehousing and supply chain teams along with a good understanding of VAT principles? As a result of growth across their Global business, we are currently working in partnership with a luxury cosmetics retailer who are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their team. Based in their London office, you will be responsible for managing the cash collections and resolving the billing queries across their Europe markets.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, this position of Accounts Receivable Assistant will be required to review account information, correct discrepancies, and ensure that accounts are billed properly and that payments are collected in a timely manner. You will be the face of the business and be interacting regularly both with internal and external customers and must provide a consistently high level of customer service.

Further responsibilities include:

• Generating invoices and account statements
• Allocating payments
• Aged debtor reporting along with other customer/wholesale reports
• Maintain relevant accounts receivable files
• Query resolution
• Communicate regularly with the Wholesale and Supply Chain teams to resolve queries
• Other administrative duties and ad hoc responsibilities as required (credit card reconciliations, intercompany billing)

Ideally candidates will have over 3+ years Accounts Receivable, Credit Control experience of a similar capacity. You will ideally have prior experience working within the Retail industry and working with Supply Chain teams. Given the role works closely with the wider finance department, having an understanding of basic accounting principles will be beneficial. Knowledge of the system NetSuite (desirable) along with strong MS Excel skills. Also having an ability to proactively identify and escalate issues and process improvements together with a good eye for detail.
