Our client is seeking a dedicated AP Specialist to join their team in London. This role offers a salary range of £35k - £40k and the opportunity to work with a globally recognised organisation. The successful candidate will have full ownership of cashbook for each entity, prepare payments including accounting coding, and ensure all accounts payable and receivable are within due date.

Responsibilities:

As an AP Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records and ensuring smooth transactions within the company. You will take full ownership of the cashbook for each entity, preparing payments and ensuring all accounts payable and receivable are within due dates. Your day-to-day tasks will also include sorting out incoming and outgoing emails, preparing bank payments and reconciliations, working with spreadsheets to reconcile invoices from Property Managers, and assisting in the preparation of quarterly VAT returns.

  1. Full ownership of cashbook (Excel sheet) for each entity
  2. Preparation of payment including accounting coding
  3. Ensure Account payable and Account receivable are within due date
  4. Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily e-mails and answering any queries
  5. Prepare Bank payment and Bank reconciliation
  6. Work with spreadsheet for reconcile invoices from Property Managers
  7. Assist in preparation of quarterly VAT return

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal AP Specialist will bring a basic understanding of general book-keeping, including Trial Balance (TB), Balance Sheet (BS), and Profit & Loss (PL). Previous experience using the Sage50 accounting package would be beneficial. You should be accurate, able to prioritise job tasks effectively, and possess strong Excel skills, including pivot tables. As a self-starter, you'll be comfortable working independently but also capable of collaborating effectively when required.

  1. Basic understanding of general Book-keeping includes TB, BS and PL
  2. Previous experience using Sage50 accounting package would be useful
  3. Accurate and able to prioritise job tasks.
  4. Excel skill is necessary including pivot table.
  5. Self-starter
