Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk Pay Bracket: £25,000 - £26,000 Location: Bury

We are working closely with a well-established, manufacturing and production business based in Bury. They actively searching for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to support their Finance Team. This is deal for a Purchase Ledger Clerk who is looking to work for a growing company within a down to earth, friendly environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Printing invoices from emails and responding to email inquiries.
  • Logging purchase invoices into the system.
  • Matching invoices for processing and moving them to the approval stage.
  • Managing invoice queries, including dispute files, clearing files, and current inquiries.
  • Accurately and efficiently reconciling supplier statements.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers via BACS or cheque.
  • Opening new accounts.
  • Stamping and distributing the daily post.
  • Performing month-end routines.
  • Communicating with employees, managers, and directors at all levels within the company.
  • Coordinating with external agencies.
  • Providing temporary support across the finance department, including credit control and accounts payable coverage.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Personable with excellent organisational skills.
  • Target-driven and able to prioritise workload independently
