Accounts Payable Assistant (6 months contract) Salary: £30,000 pro rata Location: London (Fully Remote) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a meticulous and proactive Accounts Payable Assistant to join a dynamic team within a globally recognised organisation. This role is integral to ensuring efficient budget management and financial tracking across global and regional teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for submitting all purchase orders, managing budget controls, and ensuring seamless financial operations across different regions. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

What you'll do:

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining efficient budget management and financial tracking across our global and regional teams. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include submitting purchase orders, managing budget controls, and ensuring seamless financial operations. You will also be tasked with vendor onboarding, handling intercompany payments, and managing early payment requests. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Submit purchase orders for the global team and regional teams
  • Record purchase requisition numbers in our control system
  • Update the system with PO numbers once received to facilitate accurate financial tracking
  • Maintain tight budget control, ensuring all payments and campaigns are tracked meticulously
  • Oversee the status of spending and track against monthly targets
  • Perform financial analyses and generate reports as needed
  • Manage the onboarding process for new vendors, including sending registration instructions and invites
  • Handle intercompany payments between different countries, managing the unique processes these require
  • Manage early payment requests by filling out necessary forms and obtaining required approvals

What you bring:

The ideal Accounts Payable Assistant will bring a strong understanding of financial processes and budget management. She will have excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail, proficiency in using financial tracking tools, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills are essential for liaising with vendors and internal teams. Experience in vendor management and onboarding is preferred but not essential. An analytical mindset is key, along with problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting vendor onboarding issues.
