We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join the finance team. Reporting into the European Financial Controller, you will be providing finance support to the relevant site Managing Director. Sitting on the Senior Leadership Team for the site, you will have responsibility for all commercial financial aspects.
Responsibilities
- Commercial Finance – This will include reviewing new & existing contracts, ensuring that the needs of the client, the business and our team are met to produce the best possible result. With a close eye on your working capital, you will be responsible for the best commercial & compliant position on areas such as debt, inventory levels and rebates. You will need to feel confident challenging the business on areas of financial performance. This will feed into regular forecasting from you on your site, as well as the annual budgeting process.
- Reporting - Your team will pull together the monthly results and you will need to apply your business acumen to ensure they these are accurate & meaningful. This includes the P&L, key balance sheet areas, board pack information and associated commentary. You will own the reporting into the MD, including but not limited to monthly financial performance, areas of risk, areas of opportunity, and various analysis on areas of the business. You will need to report your results into the EFC, as well as presenting the management information with the site MD to the Group MD & FD during monthly meetings, and separately in the monthly SLT update
- Team Management - Your finance team of 3 will need you to support them fully in their roles, ensuring they have the right tools & training to do their job and progress – we believe succession planning is key to team stability. It’s important that each team is a smooth working cog within the wider finance team and the wider business, which comes from excellent team management.
Requirements
- ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Strong commercial experience
- Excellent Excel skills
- Time management skills
- A background in an international products based business would be advantageous
