Do you have 5+ years previous experience of working in Accounts Payable? With a background in managing a team and hiring staff? Looking for a new challenge within the Vendor & Payments team of a renowned media agency? As a result of growth, we are working exclusively with a recognisable media agency as they look to recruit an Accounts Payable Manager to join their team in Central London.
Reporting into the Head of Management Accounts, the newly created position of Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for managing the vendor and payments team of 4 assistants and be directly involved in improving the processes and controls. The remit will involve making payments to suppliers, processing staff expenses, managing staff costs, ensuring compliance areas are met and providing commercial analysis.
Further responsibilities include:
- Review and improve the vendor set up process
- Create a supplier database
- Oversee payment approval requests
- Carry out AP related training sessions for the wider business
- Review the payment approver listing
Successful applicants will have 5+ years previous experience of working in Accounts Payable with experience managing a team. Excellent communication skills, strong MS Excel skills along with Maconomy (Advantage). You will have a proactive mindset and be a natural team-player. Experience dealing with Procurement (Advantage).
