What you'll do:

* Produce and meticulously check client invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal standards.

* Post various client-related search fees promptly and accurately into the accounting system.

* Review and code accounts payable invoices with attention to detail to support smooth financial operations.

* Prepare inter-company recharge invoices—both payable and receivable—including balance agreements and settlements between offices.

* Assemble receipts, narratives, and coding for corporate credit card statements to facilitate transparent expense management.

* Report timekeeper statistics through weekly and monthly reports to provide valuable insights for management decision-making.

* Support both London and Jersey offices by assisting with ad-hoc accounting tasks as required by lawyers, the Finance Manager, or Financial Controller.

* Collaborate effectively with three Senior Accounts Assistants on the team to ensure seamless workflow across all responsibilities.

* Engage proactively with busy individuals across departments to deliver customer-centric service under tight deadlines.

* Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues in achieving collective goals.

What you’ll bring:

* 2-3 years of experience in a similar account assistant or finance support role within a professional services environment is highly desirable.

* Experience working within the legal sector would be advantageous but is not essential for success in this position.

* Excellent organisational skills enabling you to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

* Outstanding communication abilities allowing you to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels across busy departments.

* Competence in MS Office applications including Excel and Word is required for daily reporting and documentation tasks.

* A proactive customer-centric attitude that enables you to meet tight deadlines while providing dependable support to internal stakeholders.

* Ability to use your own initiative combined with self-motivation ensures you can adapt quickly to changing requirements or new challenges.

* Demonstrated flexibility in handling diverse accounting tasks as well as agility when responding to requests from different teams or managers.

* Commitment to high ethical standards reflected in your approach to confidential information and sensitive financial data.

* Willingness to participate actively in training opportunities that further develop your technical expertise and interpersonal skills.
